In Vedic astrology, gemstones are recommended to be worn based on your horoscope (birth chart). It is believed that by wearing the prescribed gemstones, the wearer can overcome the obstacles in his/her chart. We have compiled a list of gemstones that are commonly worn for astrological purposes along with the corresponding information about which finger they are to be worn on, on which day of week and in which metal they are to be mounted.

- Stone must be mounted such that it touches the skin when the ring or pendant is worn
- It is believed that for the best astrological effect, one must wear natural and untreated gemstones because the chemical properties of the such stones are exactly as found in nature. Chemical properties of stones change when they are subject to treatments like heating, filling, etc.
